INFORMATION: About Alison

When I was little, my dad used to read to me or tell me a story each night before bed. Now, I religiously listen to Ira Glass and "This American Life." Suffice to say, throughout my entire life, I have been fascinated with stories and the art of storytelling.

I started making pictures in college, and instantly fell in love. Photography has not only become my voice, but it has also become my pass to enter all kinds of different worlds, and it provides the perfect outlet to create my own work and communicate with the world.

I approach all weddings as a visual storyteller. My goal is to tell the story of your wedding in images: the story of how each detail is a reflection of you and your partner, the story of all the people you care about most coming together to celebrate your love, the story of the day you married your best friend.

I photograph weddings in a fine art documentary style. I strive to create images that reveal the essence and mood of each wedding and the personalities of each couple. My background and training as a photojournalist have prepared me well for this as I'm able to blend in with everything and everyone on your wedding day and capture moments as they naturally unfold in front of me.
