Michele + Devin in Livermore, CA

Michele and Devin's story begins with a simple disagreement between Devin's best friend Brian and Michele's little sister Tania.  Because she was one of Brian's students, Tania had to listen to him talk everyday about how his friend, Devin, was the best person ever.  But Tania knew from experience that her sister, Michele, was the best person ever.  Seeing that it was their duty to settle the argument, Brian and Tania set up Michele and Devin on a date.  And since we had the honor to photograph Michele and Devin's wedding, I guess they've now earned the title of "best couple ever."

These two were married in September in Livermore and then partied the night away in San Ramon.  Normally, the best weather in the Bay Area is during September, it's the height of our summer.  But on their day, it poured.  Michele and Devin handled the rain like champs, and by the ceremony's end, the sun was out and shining.  We loved photographing Michele and Devin not only because they were super sweet and easy to be around, but they also included their pup Moose for a number of photos.  Congratulations you two!

Stacey + Rob in Livermore, CA

I hit it off with Stacey and Rob right from the beginning, and we ended up going out for dinner at one of their favorite places in Oakland, Cafe Biere, where I was thoroughly impressed with Rob's taste in beer and drinking skills.

Unfortunately for Stacey and Rob, rain had dampened their rehearsal the night before at Murrieta's Well, but luckily for us, that same rain made their wedding day clean, crisp and beautiful.  The gorgeous light, puffy clouds, green vineyards and the thousand folded cranes made for a very fun day of shooting.

Both Rob's and Stacey's families are very musically talented.  Rob's sister and some of her children had a special waltz composed for their wedding march, and they played it as Stacey walked down the aisle.  Later, in lieu of her maid of honor toast, Stacey's little sister Jessica sang "Grow Old With You," of Wedding Singer fame.

Stacey and Rob ended their evening in Murrieta's Well barrel room, surrounded by family as they danced among the twinkling lights.

I loved this series of Stacey walking down the aisle, flanked by her mother and sister.

Melody + Cyrus' Photo Booth

1920s roaring 20s themed wedding photo booth at montalvo villa in saratoga, california Melody and Cyrus had a roaring 20s themed wedding, so naturally, the photo booth had to reflect the 1920s as well.  I personally am a big fan of 1920s styles so I loved searching for the props, and my grandma (who was born in 1925!) helped me make some sequin and feather flapper headbands.  This was a really fun crowd that came dressed in style and had a great time tearing up the photo booth.  Normally, we do photo booth pictures in color, but I thought that the black and white was fitting for this particular booth.

Now, this is a girl who dances like me, Isadora Duncan style.

Do these two below look familiar?  They should!  We photographed their engagement session, wedding and photo booth (the inspiration for Melody and Cyrus' booth) last year, and now they're expecting!  Congrats Ginny and Sep!

This has got to be my favorite (OK, second favorite behind the top photo of Melody and Cyrus with the flying hats):  How can you not love a serious kid with foreboding, gloved fingers?
