Masako + Ken in Rosemead, CA

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Masako and Ken's wedding reception in southern California.  The two have been married since the beginning of the year so they didn't have a ceremony, but they wanted to do some portraits and celebrate their marriage with a fun reception amidst all their family and friends.  We had a fun portrait session at the San Gabriel Missions, and followed with a super fun reception that included funky and crazy games.

Stephanie + Bill in Fullerton, CA

Here are a few photos from my cousin Stephanie's wedding to Bill.  I was part of the bridal party, and Adm and I set up a photo booth so I was only able to take a few photos here and there.  Stephanie was an absolutely gorgeous bride so I decided to create a digital contact sheet (above) since I had such a hard time deciding which was my favorite photo.  The reception, which Stephanie and Bill worked really hard on creating, was beautiful as well with lots of sweet, homemade details.

Steph and Bill put a lot of thought into their details including making homemade strawberry jam as favors for their guests.

I can personally attest to the deliciousness of the desserts... they were FABULOUS!

Leslie + Tim in San Francisco, CA

I met Leslie and Tim through my good photographer friend Kevin Seifert, whom I shadowed back in the day when I had my first internship at the Durham Herald Sun in North Carolina.  Although Leslie and Tim live in Arizona, Tim used to live in San Francisco, and they both love the city so the Fairmont Hotel provided the perfect venue for them to wed in front of their closest family and friends who came from all parts of the country to witness their ceremony.  We feel very lucky that they included us in their intimate celebration, and we had so much fun whisking them away from the reception for a whirlwind portrait session at their favorite San Francisco spots.

Many congratulations to Leslie and Tim, who are also expecting their first baby girl.

Baby Eli + Baby Lilian Round Two

Remember Eli and Lillian?  I had another session with them about a month after the first, and I'm pretty amazed by how quickly they're growing and developing into their own person.  I'm very happy to continually photograph them and can't wait to see how they change throughout their first year!

I love the leg-warmers and sandals!  So California!

Cindy Chen

Here's a break from the wedding photos...  I did a quick photo of my friend Cindy Chen, who is a real estate agent in Modesto (if anyone is thinking about buying a house in Modesto/Central Valley area, contact Cindy and she'll make it happen).  We shot at golden hour (right before the sun goes down) at Grace Davis Park in Modesto.

Hayley + Leo in Tiburon and Fremont, CA

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph Hayley and Leo's wedding with fellow wedding photographer Larissa Cleveland.  The ceremony was held in Tiburon at Old St. Hilary's Church, which was beautiful in its location and historic simplicity.  The ceremony perfectly matched its location, and it was a joy to photograph the happy couple.
