Today we're sharing Myrrh and David's engagement session in the Marin Headlands! I love that they chose to collect mussels for part of their shoot - it's one of their favorite activities and turned out to be perfect for making fun pictures. We ended with a hike in one of my favorite parts of the Bay Area so basically the whole time I was thinking, "This is really my job? Taking pictures, mussel collecting and hiking?" Yes, we're lucky to be able to do this. Enjoy the photos!

Oakland Wedding // Tomasa + Jesus

Tomasa and Jesus were married last October, and they had one super fun wedding. As in, mariachi and tequila shots all day long. Take note, if you want your wedding to be a blast, just hire a mariachi band for the day and keep the tequila free flowing. I kid, I kid, kinda. But seriously, there were a lot of new things for us to photograph at their wedding which made our part a lot of fun. For example, we've never seen ladies in heels literally racing around the entire venue as a prelude to the bouquet toss. We've also never seen the groom get launched into the air by his buddies, we're talking way up in the air. With families and traditions like theirs, we know Tomasa and Jesus are in for a fun marriage.

Sarah and Jonathan had a quick ceremony at City Hall last summer. Of course, their son Finn was the star of the show. Congrats to this sweet little family!

Berkeley Faculty Club Wedding // Aanika + Jonathan

Aanika and Jonathan were married last summer at the UC Berkeley Faculty Club. Even though we've done a lot of shoots there, there are so many spots to take pictures that are special to each couple that we're always finding new places to photograph each time. We had a lot of fun with these two - Adm and Jonathan yammered about sports pretty much the entire time, and coincidentally, Aanika and I discovered that we have the same wedding ring, which really is strange since it's made by a small independent jewelry designer in New York. And of course, all of their guests had a great time - rolling down the hills in party dresses, playing wiffle ball and corn hole - it was the perfect summer outdoor wedding.

Liz and Dan were married, ahem, in 2014, but just because I'm the slowest blogger ever doesn't mean you should have to miss out on their beautiful wedding, right?? Luckily, we now have our first ever intern (Hi, Kailyn!) who is not only the sweetest but having her here is helping us get it together, which means, we're going to try and blog once a week this year! #loftygoals But seriously, Liz and Dan might just win the award for nicest couple ever. Nice people + gorgeous backdrops = rad wedding. I just can't get enough of those eucalyptus trees and the Golden Gate Bridge subtly popped in throughout the day. Check it out!

We loved photographing Katie and Matt's wedding last October. These two were so easygoing and basically just wanted to throw a kick ass party, which they totally accomplished - check out the party pictures at the end of the post. Such a fun night with lovely people which simply makes our job the best!
